Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how VELEXT uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and Client Portal.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information that websites can store on or access from your device.
Cookies and similar technologies can be used to provide essential website functionality, maintain secure sessions, remember preferences and understand how visitors use a website.
2. Categories of Cookies
VELEXT may use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies.
Strictly Necessary
These technologies are required for essential website functionality and may be used for purposes such as:
- Security
- Authentication
- Client Portal login
- Session management
- Cookie consent preferences
- Fraud and abuse prevention
Because these technologies are necessary for providing functionality requested by the user or operating the website securely, they may not require consent where permitted by applicable law.
Analytics
With your consent where required, VELEXT uses analytics technologies to understand how visitors use the website.
This helps us understand matters such as:
- Which pages are visited
- How visitors navigate the website
- How visitors reached the website
- Which devices and browsers are used
- Website performance and engagement
Functional Technologies
Where implemented, functional technologies may be used to remember choices or provide enhanced website functionality.
Marketing Technologies
VELEXT does not activate advertising or marketing cookies unless such technologies are specifically implemented and the required consent mechanism is in place.
3. Google Analytics
VELEXT uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand website usage and improve our website and services.
Google Analytics may process information such as:
- Page views
- Session information
- Device and browser information
- Approximate geographic information
- Referral source
- Website interactions
We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode. Before you accept cookies, it collects only anonymous, aggregated measurement and does not store or read any cookies. Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) are set only after you accept analytics cookies through our cookie banner; if you decline, it continues in this cookieless mode.
Users can withdraw or modify their consent through the cookie settings on the website.
4. Authentication and Client Portal
The VELEXT Client Portal uses Supabase Auth. It sets strictly necessary cookies (a secure, HttpOnly session token) to:
- Authenticate users
- Maintain secure login sessions
- Protect accounts
- Prevent unauthorised access
- Maintain essential application functionality
Disabling these technologies may prevent the Client Portal from functioning correctly.
5. Cookie Consent
When required, visitors are given the opportunity to choose whether non-essential cookies may be used.
The consent interface provides appropriate choices, including the ability to reject non-essential cookies.
Your consent preference is itself stored using a strictly necessary cookie so that the website can remember your choice and does not ask again on every visit.
You can change or withdraw your consent through the cookie settings available on the website.
6. Cookie Inventory
The cookies below are those actually used by the VELEXT website and Client Portal. This inventory is updated whenever the technologies deployed on the site change.
| Provider | Cookie name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase (authentication) | sb-rxvptjyxkbsragjscdbm-auth-token (may be split into ...-auth-token.0 / .1) | Client Portal authentication and secure session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) | Necessary | Session, refreshed while you stay signed in; cleared on logout |
| VELEXT (consent) | velext-cookie-consent | Stores your accept/reject cookie choice so the banner is not shown again | Necessary | 1 year (SameSite=Lax) |
| Google Analytics (GA4) | _ga | Distinguishes visitors; set only after you accept analytics cookies | Analytics | 2 years |
| Google Analytics (GA4) | _ga_<measurement-id> | Persists analytics session state; set only after you accept analytics cookies | Analytics | 2 years |
Note: Google Analytics cookies are only set on the production site once analytics has been enabled and you have given consent. Until then, only the two necessary cookies (authentication and consent) are used.
7. Third-Party Technologies
Some cookies or similar technologies may be provided by third-party services integrated into the website.
These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies.
VELEXT evaluates third-party technologies before implementation and aims to minimise unnecessary data collection.
8. Managing Cookies
You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie settings provided on our website.
You can also configure your browser to delete or block cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the website or Client Portal to stop functioning correctly.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when:
- We introduce new technologies
- Existing providers change
- Our website functionality changes
- Applicable legal requirements change
The latest version will be published on the VELEXT website.
10. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies or similar technologies, please contact VELEXT using the contact information provided on our website.
